About CBHN

The Capital Behavioral Health Network (CBHN) was created in 2018 to help drive better health outcomes for those with mental health and substance abuse disorders. CBHN is an independent practice association (IPA). CBHN’s parent organization Capital Behavioral health Collaborative, is a 501c3 nonprofit.

Our members include 30 organizations that deliver mental health and substance abuse services. CBHN members represent a wide spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services in urban, suburban and rural communities in the greater capital region and includes Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Columbia, Greene, Schoharie, Fulton, Montgomery, Warren, and Washington counties.

Project Spotlight

COAST

CBHN brings together substance use prevention, treatment, recovery, and harm reduction service providers in eight counties.

Data Analytics

CBHN is implementing the Behavioral Health Data Analytics Collaborative (BHDAC), an innovative, one-of a kind approach to analyzing data gathered from multiple sources such as medical records of each CBHN member organization.

Non-Medical Transportation

CBHN coordinates transportation for individuals who are engaged in substance use services and have no other means of getting to necessary treatment and related services. The service is free for riders and is funded by NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS).
