Free Education & Training for Network Member Employees
Through grants from Albany County (American Rescue Plan Act funds – ARPA) and the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), CBHN is partnering with Maria College to offer an exciting opportunity for employees of our Network Members to earn their Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) credential.
This comprehensive program provides participants with the education, training, and real-world experience needed to advance in the field of addiction counseling, addressing a critical staffing shortage in substance abuse treatment services in our region.
How it Works
Coursework
Psychology, addiction theory, & counseling techniques courses lay the foundation for work in the substance use & mental health fields.
Internship
Participate in internships with CBHN member organizations, gaining hands-on experience and preparing for advanced counseling roles.
CASAC Credential
Participate in internships with CBHN member organizations, gaining hands-on experience and preparing for advanced counseling roles.
