Non-Medical Transportation
Transportation Assistance
for Individuals Seeking Substance Use Services
CBHN understands that accessing substance use services can be challenging, and reliable transportation is often one of the biggest barriers to receiving the care and support you need.
The network’s transportation assistance program, funded by the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), is available to service organizations in our eight county-region for individuals who are actively engaged in or seeking substance use treatment who do not have other means of transportation.
Program Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for our transportation services, individuals must meet the following criteria:
- Actively engaged in or seeking substance use services (e.g., harm reduction, outpatient treatment, counseling, support groups, recovery services, prevention services).
- Have no other transportation options available (e.g., no access to personal vehicles, public transportation, or other community resources).
- Reside or receive services within the following counties: Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga, Warren, Washington, Columbia or Greene Counties.
If your organization has clients who meet the above criteria and would like to participate in the free program, we are here to help so that transportation is one less thing your client needs to worry about on their path to recovery.
